What is your career trajectory to date?

I started in Engineering Physic and proceed along the nanotechnology and plasmonic sectors. Having in mind the particle physics modern dilemmas, I experimentally tackle the neutrino topic focusing on ultra-low energy sector. My goal is now to implement a plasmonic detection scheme to interact with neutrinos (and in general weakly interactive particles) with energy in the order of the plasmon energy.

What are the most exciting open questions in your research area?

Can we measure the neutrino masses from the slow-proceeding neutrinos? Can near resonant plasma-neutrino process give strict constrain on the neutrino property? Can we rely on highly functionalized metamaterial to retrieve neutrino-induced plasmon characteristics?

What role do you think a network like COSMIC WISPers can play in developing WISP searches in Europe?

The COSMIC WISPers’ role is clear: Gathering minds and hands to push the knowledge boundaries. The many meetings and conferences and workshops are occasion to get inspired by the work of other colleagues. Thanks to those inspirations each of us can make a tiny step towards the unknown moreover, the cooperation between groups helps to overcome difficulties and problems. A large collaboration such as COSMIC WISPers is absolutely essential for the progress in the WISP physics from both theoretical and experimental side.
